Design Details
Share as much or as little detail as you like. I’ll review everything personally, then be in touch to discuss materials, colours, proportions, and any finer customisations to make sure everything feels right.
Order Deposit
A 50% deposit is required to secure your place in the production queue. As each strap is made to order and production capacity is limited, this deposit reserves dedicated build time. Payments can be made in NZD via bank transfer, or via PayPal in other currencies. Deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation or change of mind, but may be applied as store credit toward a future order.
Pricing & Shipping
All prices include NZ GST. Postage and packaging is additional; New Zealand delivery is $15 ($20 for Rural). For Auckland-based customers, hand delivery and in-person fitting may be available at the standard P&P rate. International orders are welcome - please enquire for a shipping quote prior to purchase.
Build Time
Turnaround is typically 3–6 weeks depending on my current workload. Each strap is made one at a time, with nothing rushed. If you’re working to a shorter timeline, I occasionally offer a Rapid Build (around 2 weeks), depending on availability. This carries a 25% priority fee, as it requires moving your order ahead in the queue.
Order Notes
As each strap is made to order, returns or exchanges are not generally available, but if something isn’t quite right, I’ll always do my best to help. Most leathers and linings used are vegetable-tanned and typically well tolerated, though I can’t guarantee against individual skin sensitivities. If a reaction occurs and the strap is returned in sellable condition, a refund may be considered case by case.
Material & Finish
Natural leathers may show small variations, markings, or tonal inconsistencies inherent to the hide. Each strap is entirely handmade and hand-finished, and subtle irregularities may be present. These are considered part of the character of the material and the process behind each piece.
Curved Ends
If you're in doubt about the distance between the spring bar holes and the watch case, I strongly recommend adding curved ends and curved spring bars so the strap doesnt rub against the case, which in many instances can damage the top layer of the strap. Many modern watches, like Rolex, Tudor, and high-end dress watches, have very tight lug-to-case gaps. That said, not all leathers curve as well as others, so please reach out if you'd like advice on whether your chosen leather will work well with a curved fit.
Custom Ends
Straps made with highly customised specifications, including custom end pieces or non-standard fitments, are produced specifically for the original watch and generally cannot be returned or refunded where the item is otherwise fit for purpose, as they cannot usually be resold. For custom fitments, the customer is responsible for providing accurate measurements and specifications. Straps will be made to the details supplied at the time of order. If anything made by me does not match those agreed specifications, I will work with you to put it right.
Custom Dyes
For custom dye orders, I endeavor to provide colour references as accurately as possible through photography, but natural leather and screen displays can vary. Lighting, device settings, and the character of the hide may affect how a colour appears online compared to in person. I’ll always make every reasonable effort to achieve the tone you’re after, though exact matches cannot be guaranteed, particularly with more nuanced requests.
Patina & Care
Natural leather will develop a patina over time, influenced by wear, environment, and individual use. Exposure to moisture, sweat, and sunlight will all shape how the strap ages. To help maintain longevity, straps should be allowed to dry fully - ideally for at least 24 hours - after exposure to water or heavy perspiration.
